About the Instructor
After 6 years of tutoring and teaching, I remain in education because I love to learn. I chose my college because of how deeply we learned our subjects; to learn calculus, we read Newton, and to understand Aristotle, we read his texts in the original Ancient Greek. I get excited about ideas and working through challenging material with others, which is why I joined Victory Step. My passion and curiosity are apparent to my students from the first time we open a book together, and soon they find themselves enjoying their work and gaining confidence as they learn to trust themselves and their own ability to problem-solve. Outside of work, I continue to read – sometimes I’ll even have a book at the dog park – and I’m currently enrolled in SMU’s coding bootcamp.
How come you never see elephants hiding in trees?
Because they’re really good at it.
